Marking on an oil bottle (PET)

oil marking Macsa

PET containers are the most frequently used ones in the industry thanks to their resistance, flexibility and its ease of molding. In this case, a QR code + 1 line of text (Macsa’s website) were marked on an oil bottle (PET). The difficulty of this type of marking is to ensure that the coding is visible and readable on the transparent plastic and on a material that can easily become greasy during the production chain process.

The marking visibility is high because the marking obtained is white on the transparent plastic and on the background, which is yellow in this case. With the appropriate power of the laser (30W), a QR code mark is produced which is perfectly readable with any mobile application.

Laser marking on plastic taps

The last manufacturing process that the product undergoes is coding and marking so that the relevant identification regulations concerning packaged foods or drinks can also be adhered to. In this particular application we can see that the product reference, the time and the expiry date have been marked.

In this case as the bottle top is red, we have achieved a high contrast in white by making a change of colour. In this manner, an indelible mark has been made without damaging the surface in any way.

Macsa ID launches iCON2, an extremely competitive laser

iCON 2 is more compact, robust and much more easy to use than its predecesor iCON.

What is traceability?

According to the AECOC Food Safety Committee, traceability “is the set of those pre-established and self-sufficient procedures that mean that the history, location and distribution of a product or batch of products can be tracked at any given time along the supply chain, through the use of certain tools.”

Many of us have in our minds different cases of contaminated food products that have reached the final consumer and have generated scandals in the defence of both human and animal health. Food safety is the most important thing that must be provided to the consumer, since factors such as taste, smell or colour can be considered to be objective, but safety can never be negotiable.

Labelling of pallets with plastic oil bottles

With the idBlocks Pallet 6011 by Macsa ID, F. Faiges reduces downtime and increases productivity

One of the concerns of the management of F. Faiges, a multinational company dedicated to the production of food oil, is that the process of labelling their pallets in the 30,000 m2 plant located in Daimiel, Ciudad Real, is carried out in an efficient, and above all, trouble-free way. They know only too well that any type of error will cause stops or delays in the production that will result in lower plant productivity and an increase in costs.
