Marking a data matrix on aluminum

In the automotive industry many different component manufacturers are involved to deliver the parts needed for final assembly. The productivity demands of the automotive sector necessitate coding and marking systems that enable the identification, control and traceability of all components at every stage of production.

The Macsa Nano D-6006 laser is a DPSS laser that has been used in this case for a marking an 8×8 mm data matrix containing 33 alphanumeric characters on plastic automotive components.

 

This laser produces a high contrast mark that can be read reliably by an automated code reader. Thanks to its compact design the laser is integrated in a small iLaserBox.

Macsa ID HPD series is used to cut and to codify packaged goods and, in the industrial markets, to mark a wide range of substrates as laminated foil.

 

HPD series are powerful CO2 and high efficiency lasers. Their high power density makes them very reliable in cutting and scoring plastic films, as well as in high resolution marking on non-metallic substrates and coding on particular goods.

The S-3100 HPD by Macsa is a CO2 laser with which is possible to obtain excellent results in marking rubber soles for shoes.

Combining a big lens area and the power of the Macsa S-3100 HPD laser ensure an optimal energy focus at each point of the marking area, achieving the desired result in short time cycles.

In addition, thanks to the possibility to import DXF files with the software Marca, the design possibilities for the shoe sole customization are greatly expanded.
