Laser marking on plastic taps

Laser marking on plastic taps

22/01/2018

The last manufacturing process that the product undergoes is coding and marking so that the relevant identification regulations concerning packaged foods or drinks can also be adhered to. In this particular application we can see that the product reference, the time and the expiry date have been marked.

In this case as the bottle top is red, we have achieved a high contrast in white by making a change of colour. In this manner, an indelible mark has been made without damaging the surface in any way.

With the D-5010 GREEN DPSS laser system, we can obtain a good white contrast on red materials.

This laser is ideal for marking on plastic because it offers a wide range of beam diameters which can adapt to the customer’s specific needs. In addition to being easily integrated into the production lines, the Macsa ID D-5010 Green also adapts to iLaserBox workstations so that products can be marked statically.
