PET is the most commonly used material in the beverage industry. It is a synthetic material belonging to the group of polyesters which have the characteristic that the faster they cool, the more transparent they become.

When marking water bottles, it is essential that the substrate is not damaged and that no grooves are created with the coding. Metallic containers are the most suitable ones for maintaining paint in optimum conditions; they are resistant, hermetic and are also environmentally friendly as 8 out of 10 paint pots are recycled or reused, giving a second life to the container.

Coding on paint pots can be carried out directly on the metal lid without the need for saving some space for marking. In this case, 7 mm characters have been marked directly on the white lacquered metal.

Nowadays, consumers seek both quality and safety in the products they buy and consume. In the food and drink industry, metal lids guarantee the hermetic seal required by many products. There are different types: special lids for pasteurized products, with protection, with a sterilization button, and of different diameters and colours. However, all of them need to be manufactured to withstand aging and a high level of corrosion and oxidation.

With the SPA 10 laser by Macsa ID, we obtain good results of definition and contrast, even on black caps. This CO2 laser guarantees optimal, clear marking on coloured backgrounds, offering high contrast and visibility. Furthermore, thanks to the characteristics of CO2 technology, the metal is not damaged and the properties of the lid are kept intact.
