D-5000 DUO SERIES

D-5000 DUO is a DPSS laser marking system for high-contrast marking, variable data and controlled coating ablation on selected plastics, metals and delicate substrates. Its short-pulse technology helps minimize thermal impact while supporting precise industrial identification.

Precision marking for plastics, metals and delicate substrates

The D-5000 DUO Series uses DPSS technology based on an Nd₄ active medium. It provides a precise laser process for applications that require high contrast, fine detail or controlled material interaction.

Typical marking content includes:

• Serial numbers, references and batch information.
• DataMatrix, QR and other machine-readable codes.
• Logos, symbols and technical information.
• Variable production data.
• Identification marks on selected plastic and metal components.
• Controlled removal of selected surface coatings.

The final result depends on the material, colour, additives, coating, surface finish and code size. Therefore, Macsa id validates the application on the real component.

Short-pulse laser marking and coating ablation

D-5000 DUO uses short laser pulses to support precision marking and coating ablation. This makes it suitable for applications where the marking process must limit thermal impact on the substrate.

Coating ablation removes a selected surface layer to create a visible mark, reveal an underlying layer or prepare a defined area. The correct result depends on the coating thickness, substrate, optics and laser parameters.

No laser process should be described as universally damage-free. Instead, the application should be tested to confirm contrast, detail, thermal effect and code legibility on the actual part.

Dual-processor architecture

The DUO dual-processor architecture supports fast cycle times, including applications with changing production data. This helps manufacturers mark codes, references and other variable information without compromising process control.

3-axis motion control

D-5000 DUO includes full 3-axis motion control for driving external axes. This supports applications that require controlled part movement, positioning or marking on more complex components.

Integrate D-5000 DUO in-line or in a workstation

D-5000 DUO can integrate into automated production lines for continuous industrial marking. Its compact head design supports installations where available space, cycle time and repeatability are important.
